Weekly update week 6

Friday 21 June

It is "Get your sparkle on" day!!!     
                                
  

Sparkle day is when you make others happy and share so we come to school happy and in bright and sparkly clothes.

In other news, the Crusaders are taking on the Highlanders tonight in Super Rugby. If they win, which will happen, they go in the finals.

I hope they get in!   My favorite player is Braydon Ennor. He is very fast he is a winger. which he gets
all the tries out near the right-wing. 

Weekly update

Friday 14 June

This week I have enjoyed the Middleton Grange music performance because I like music. An interesting thing I learnt was that there is an instrument called a French horn. They were all set up after lunch and started to play when we entered. They played a  song that was famous in London which had a flute, saxophone and french horn solo.They had a jazz band too which was my favourite part of the performance. It was about 10 minutes and we got to sing along. I loved the jazz band!

Weekly update

Friday 24 May

Hello everybody,

It has been an amazing week!

Winter Sport: 
It was so sunny this week and not raining like last week, so we had lot of playing in the sun.

It was  sunny when we got on the bus.  We went on the bus with the soccer team we went all the way around Haggley park. We got off and went to where we were playing Saint Martins. I was off for the first half, watching the game from the sideline. I went on and we beat Saint Martin. Thereafter we played West  Spreydon and I did not get the ball once. 

My grandma came to watch which was so nice.When the game was over I got on the bus with my best friend Liam. We got back to school and the bell rang so I went home.

Winter sport

Hello everybody, 

It is anti -bullying day today where we get to wear a pink shirt. I had a great week!

On Thursday it was winter sport I played rugby with my best friend. We all lined up into our teams and the teachers told us the rules before climbing on the bus and heading off to Hagley Park. We ate lunch before we played.

The coach said we were going to play rugby and I tackled heaps of people. We won our match against West Spreydon. We got heaps of tries so now we are going to play against Saint Francis. During the match I caught the ball as it flew high across the sky and ran as fast as I could across the try line.... We WON!

End of the term reflection

Friday 12 April
Hello my highlight was when we made huts

• I loved about the term was we did lots of fun things.And went on field trips to the river and caught eels wite bait  beguiles.And we learnt heaps of stuff about eels.    
• Science Van it was so fun.  We watch them do science like ripping a cloth off when glass of water was on so cool. 
•  Korfball when its a game of basketball and net ball.The hoops were funny looking and everybody got a turn. Of shooting the ball and no one was left out.
• swimming sport we all raced and when it was my go.I dived and was swimming and I came back and Got first place I was so good. I got in the finical  but I raced very hard people and I came fourth.
• our Caritas  challenge we billet  loads I was in a group with Cyrus Ben Jake  Finn Nicholas liam. And we built big huts  and made  loads of stuff out of cardboard.And we made beds and all the other stuff. Im looking forward to cross country. I dislike eating the rice for Caritas 
  

HOLY WEEK

This week we have been learning about Holy Week and remembering what Jesus went through before he was crucified.

I have learnt that the last Sunday in Lent is now called Passion Sunday and not Palm Sunday.  This is because it is the beginning of Passion Week and we are remembering the Passion of our Lord.

This is my learning from this week.

Our Refugee day

Friday 5 April
Yesterday it was challenging.
The highlight was having rice for lunch.
An interesting part was we built forts .
We had a refugee day and made huts out of cardboard boxes. We sat down and Mrs Welsh said to get into groups. I got into a group with Ben, Jake, Cyrus, Liam, Noah,  Finn and Nicholas 
and we loved the huts. For the afternoon we built our hut. When our hut was
completed  we didn't go in it apart from Ben. We got rice for lunch.
